In preparation for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8th here is a note from the office:
8:30 Supervision of students begins in the school yard. At this time, teachers on duty will be outside to supervise students and make sure they are safe. Not all classroom teachers will be on the yard at this point.
8:40 (First Bell) All homeroom teachers will be on the school yard and at the classroom locations listed on the attached map. Each teacher will have a sign with their name, classroom and grade. Teachers will check their class lists as students arrive to ensure that they are in the right place. There are several teachers who will be “floating” in order to provide assistance to those who need it. These teachers will be wearing safety vests for easy identification.
8:45 to 9:00 Classes will be entering the building shortly after 8:45. Teachers who are “floating” will remain outside until 9:00 to help anyone who needs it. Anyone who arrives after 9:00 am is advised to go to the main office for assistance.
