Community member and long-time volunteer Jennifer Goodman of J Goodman Homes will be donating 760 – one pound pumpkins for the students to do a variety of exciting learning activities from pumpkin math, cooking to decorating. The pumpkins will arrive Monday, October 28 in the afternoon and each child in the school and the daycare will be given the opportunity to go out with their class and select one to work on in class or take home.
Students will also have the opportunity to drop off an item to contribute to the Daily Bread Food Bank – donations of canned goods gratefully accepted!
On Thursday, October 31 students will share their pumpkin activities and put them on display.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: We need about 5-6 parent volunteers to help hand out pumpkins and collect canned goods on Monday afternoon. If you can help, please contact us at bowmoresc@gmail.com
