This Friday (October 19) at Bowmore- We focus on Bullying Awareness and Prevention
- On Friday we are asking students and staff to wear pink.
- There will be a minute of silence at approx. 11 a.m. to honour those impacted by bullying regardless of the form or consequence.
- Students will be reminded of our school plan to act SMART when faced with incidents of bullying: Seek assistance, Make a safety plan, Assert yourself, Report, Talk about it.
- Students and staff will be given the opportunity to bring in change to create change. Students may choose to bring in a small amount of change that will be donated to Kids Help Phone to continue their work in assisting children and youth. There will be pink ribbons available for students and staff to wear on their wrists so we can all unite against bullying.
